What is the MOQ for personalized customization?
For fully personalized (made-to-design) 925 silver, the minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per design. For personalized designs under 100 pieces, the sample carries a tooling fee from $30 that rises with the design's intricacy and gram weight, so more intricate or heavier pieces sit above the $30 floor; the fee is refunded only once your cumulative orders for that design reach our custom MOQ of 100 pieces. If you would rather start from a proven design than a blank page, our style library opens at 25 pieces on a direct-order model — you can view the actual finished piece through real product photos or short videos before committing. We are a 925 silver customization specialist and do not produce 18K gold-plated products.
Three ways to buy — match the tier to your stage
Style library
25 pcs
Best for new brands testing demand. Pick from proven designs, shortest lead time, lowest commitment.
Personalized
100 pcs
Best for brands with their own look. We build to your drawings or reference, counted per design.
How the $30 mold fee actually works
The mold fee is a one-time tooling setup, not a per-unit surcharge. It is charged only when a single design sits below 100 pieces, and it is returned only once that design's cumulative orders reach our custom MOQ of 100 pieces — we do not refund it at any lower quantity. In practice a first trial run of 30 pieces carries $30 extra (more for intricate or heavier designs), but your next reorder absorbs it once the MOQ is met — so small-batch experimentation stays low-risk while volume pricing arrives naturally.
From sample to bulk: the timeline brands ask about
Most partners start with one sample before a full run. We return a 3D render within 24 hours so you can approve shape and proportion before any metal is cast, then a physical sample in 7–15 days. Bulk production runs 25–40 days after sample sign-off, depending on stone setting and finish. MOQ is counted per design, not per mixed assortment — five designs at 25 pieces each are five separate runs, not one 125-piece order.
MOQ mistakes that quietly inflate first orders
Three patterns we see often: (1) assuming catalog MOQs apply to custom work — they do not; (2) mixing several designs into one PO to "reach a lower MOQ" — MOQ is per design; (3) skipping the sample step to save time, then finding a proportion issue after bulk is cast. A short sample cycle almost always costs less than a bulk re-run.
Planning your first year around the MOQ
A common misread is treating MOQ as a one-time gate. For a growing brand it is better seen as a replenishment rhythm. Because the mold fee is refunded at 100 cumulative pieces per design, many partners structure year one as one sample run plus two or three reorders that together clear the threshold — capturing the refund while keeping each shipment small. This suits seasonal lines where you do not want 500 units of one SKU in stock.
Quick decision guide
Validating a concept → start at 25 from the style library on a direct-order model. Have a defined design and want your own brand look → 100 per design with the mold-fee safety net (refunded at our 100-piece custom MOQ). Send your design and volume and we will map the exact tier. Note: we do not offer 18K gold plating.
